1. Why aren't any photos appearing in the app?
Make sure you've granted permission to access your Photo Library. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > Age Matched and set access to All Photos. Then close and reopen Age Matched.
2. How do I control my privacy settings?
Age Matched features a dedicated Privacy tab in the main interface where you can:
- See exactly what data we never access (your photos, names, locations)
- Enable or disable anonymous usage analytics
- Access our complete privacy policy
3. How do I unlock the full timeline?
- In the main dashboard, look for the Unlock Timeline button in the bottom carousel
- Or when you reach the timeline limit, tap the alert and choose Unlock Now
- You can also Restore Previous Purchases if you've already bought the unlock
4. What payment methods are accepted?
All payments go through the App Store, so any method linked to your Apple ID (credit/debit card, Apple Pay, etc.) will work. Purchases are handled securely by Apple.
5. How do I add a new child or pet?
- On the main dashboard, tap the + button (Add a kid card)
- For pets, swipe through the bottom carousel to find the Pets Are Family option
Troubleshooting Tips
- App Freezes or Laggy Performance
- Close Age Matched entirely (swipe it off the app switcher).
- Restart your device.
- Ensure you're running the latest iOS version and Age Matched update.
- Timeline Shows "Need More Photos" If the comparison timeline isn't working:
- You need at least 2 children/pets with photos at similar ages
- Import more photos covering the same age ranges for different children
- Check that birthdates are entered correctly for accurate age calculation
- Purchase Issues If you're having trouble with in-app purchases:
- Ensure you're signed in to the App Store with the correct Apple ID
- Try the Restore Previous Purchases option in the purchase alert
- If you see "Sign in to Apple Account" repeatedly, check your Apple ID sign-in status in Settings
- Missing Ages on Timeline If certain age increments don't display any images:
- Verify that your import process included photos taken in that exact age range.
- Remember: free users can access the first half of the timeline, premium users get the full timeline
- If photos were edited or metadata was modified, the app may not detect the original timestamp.
